WattQuota (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the WattQuota website and interactive off-grid calculator. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you use Export & Save Specs, we collect the email address you submit along with system sizing details such as daily watt-hours, recommended inverter size, recommended battery capacity, and the appliance configuration associated with your build.
We also collect standard technical data such as browser type, device information, and approximate location derived from IP address through our hosting and analytics providers.
How we use your information
- To email your off-grid wiring summary via Resend.
- To store and manage leads in Supabase for product follow-up.
- To improve the calculator, content, and site performance.
- To measure affiliate referrals when you click recommended hardware links.
Email and Supabase
Lead emails and build summaries are processed by Resend for delivery and stored in Supabase so we can fulfill your request and improve WattQuota. Do not submit sensitive personal data beyond what is needed to receive your summary.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
Our site and partner links may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences and attribute affiliate commissions when you purchase recommended equipment. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit some features or tracking accuracy.
Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate WattQuota (for example Resend, Supabase, hosting, and affiliate networks). We do not sell your email address. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Data retention
We retain lead and build records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve WattQuota. You may request deletion of your lead record by contacting us.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages, request access or deletion of lead data, and disable cookies in your browser. Transactional emails related to a summary you requested may still be sent.
